How To Cure Your Depression

Depression is a mental disorder that often occurs throughout the world. It is also a major cause of suicide which takes hundreds of thousands of lives each year. According
to Association of Indonesian Mental Health Specialists, 3.7% of the population in Indonesia experiencing depression, which is almost 9 million people. However, there are ways to cure depression naturally without going to the doctor.

The first step is doing meditation. A recent study revealed that meditation is more effective in relieving major depression than medicine. Meditation is a mind-calming technique. It will make our mind clear, peaceful and focus on something. To get rid of stress that arises everyday, set aside 30 minutes every day and find a quiet place. Turn off the smartphone and close your eyes. Adjust breath, and focus. Don't think of anything. You can also try to focus on one word, or imagine yourself in a peaceful place. By doing the meditation will help us to calm our bodies and get positive energy.

The next step is talking about the problems to the people you trust. This can benefit you in many ways. Expressing the contents of your mind and what is happening in life also getting a response can help you see things from a different perspective. Talking about what you feel can also provide a solution. But most importantly, you get emotional support from other people. For those who are introverted, opening up can be awkward at first. But don't let that feeling overwhelm you. Open yourself to get input, suggestions, even help from others.

Last but not least, trying to do new things will cure your depression slowly. Many people tend to feel horrible during depression. This feels even harder when we don't have the ability to concentrate or make important decisions. That's why, it's important for us to try new and different things. "When we challenge ourselves to do something new, there are changes in chemical compounds in the brain" (Cook, Ian). Try new things to change dopamine levels related to pleasure, and learning. Go to a new place, learn a new language, read a new book, and other things you have been wanting to try for a long time.

In conclusion, there are various ways to treat depression, one of the way iis doing meditation, another way is talking to the closest friend, and the other way is trying out to do new things. In avoiding depression, always think positively about what happened and experienced, do useful activities, and remember that you are loved.

My Favorite Songs From Musicals

Lately, I like watch musical dramas or animated videos from musical dramas. There are my favorite songs from the musicals: 1.        Candy Store (Heathers) In this song, Heather Chandler lays down the law and offers her protegée Veronica a choice: be cruel and powerful like the Heathers or go back to your loser friends and be nobody. The song starts when Veronica realizes Chandler has tricked her into forging a cruel love letter to Martha , posing as Martha’s lifelong crush, Ram . I like how this song tells the mean girls point of view. My favorite part is when Heather Duke sing and try to catch the highnotes then being yelled by Heather Chandler, “Shut up, Heather!”, that’s really funny.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jviZGERpqg&index=2&list=RDYuCux-Dtk-0   1.        Meant To Be Yours (Heathers) JD breaks into Veronica’s room, wielding a gun, as she bar...

One of the interesting and happening things in the world of adolescence is the dating trend that is favored by some teenagers. The Anti-Violence Coalition in Alabama said that one in three children experienced physical violence during early dating. The forms are like pushing, hitting, strangling, and killing. The crime was very closed because the victim or perpetrator did not acknowledge the problem during the relati...
