First Job Experience

Amazing Holiday

                Last holiday was such an amazing holiday. It was different from my other holiday. Usually I spent my holiday with sleeping, eating, hanging out with friends, and other useless activities. I filled my last holiday with working in home industry. At first, I worked there to earn money, so I could buy new shoes with my own money. Later on, it happened to be an unforgettable experience I ever do.

                First day of work, I went with a new spirit. I was so excited and expecting a lot of new things I will learn. I arrived at 8.00 a.m. and no one there. It turned out that I was too early. Other workers arrived at 9.00 a.m. the first thing that I learn was how to make ribbon, so I have to make around 300 ribbons by myself. At first, it was very hard for me to understand the way to make it, but later on I could make 300 ribbons easily in short time. Others thing that I learn as cooking cupcake and pudding, make souvenirs for wedding and birthday party, also decorate birthday party.

                Second day of work was a boring day. I went at 9.00 a.m. and arrived at 9.30 a.m.  Fortunately, my boss didn’t mad at me for being late I spent my second day of working with watching television, eating snack, even sleeping. There weren’t any order for that day, so we just do nothing, and left work early.

                The third day was such a hectic and tiring day. There were a lot of orders on that day. It was around 200 birthday souvenir and 100 wedding souvenir, there were only 4 workers, so we split it into half. I went home late, about 7.00 p.m. I was too tired at that time to the point I had thoughts to stop working because I think it was hard and tiring. Luckily, my mom suggested me to go on because she thinks it was such a waste, so I continued working until one month.

                Day by day passed by, until the day I told my boss that I had to stop working because my college will start soon. At first, she was mad at me because I didn’t tell her early. But the next day she gave me my first salary and told me to study hard and be successful person. I was so happy. Finally, I got my first salary, it wasn’t that much, around 800 thousand rupiah. I’m glad I didn’t stop working at that day, because I got a lot of new experiences, I made new friends, I bought new shoes, and of course I learn how hard it is to make money, so I could value it in the future.
