Movie Review: Kuroshitsuji (Live Action)

Kuroshitsuji (also known as Black Butler) is a film adapted from the popular manga series by Yana Toboso in 2013.  Directed by Kotaro Otani and Keiichi Sato, this film released at January 18, 2014. This film has action-fantasy genre.

Synopsis:

Set in the year 2020, Shiori Genpo (Ayame Gouriki) runs the large corporation Funtom. Shiori is also a descendant of prestigious noble family Phantomhive of  England. As a descendant of the noble family Phantomhive, Shiori solves difficult cases which are ordered by the queen.

In order to take revenge, Shiori makes a deal with a devil named Sebastian (Hiro Mizushima). Their deal involves Butler Sebastian protecting Shiori until her revenge is fulfilled and then Sebastian will consume Shiori's spirit.

As one of Kuroshitsuji fans, I feel disappointed with this film. This film is very different from the manga version. The most striking difference is the main character. The main character din the manga version, Ciel, is a boy but in the movie version, the main character is a girl named Shiori. The setting in the manga version that occurred in the 19th century in England was changed to 2020 in Japan. The plot is also different from the manga version. Even though I am disappointed with the change of movie version, this film has a good plot and great actors.

It always 'bout bullying, abusing, and raping in some western country.            I was ever being bullied in junior highschool but I could handle it with the man way, and it solved :). My Dreams Everyone has their own dreams that they want to reach. The dreams sometimes seem so high and sometimes so simply to realize it. Different people also has different ways to bring they dreams into reality. By having dreams we will know about our goal in life. So do I, I have a dream to continue my master degree in abroad, exactly in Australia. Therefore I follow some seminars in order that I know how to continue studying abroad. In seminar I get several tips to succeed getting scholarship abroad. Firstly, we must never give up and be brave to try many kinds of opportunities to go abroad, for instance student exchange or other event that make us go abroad. Although at first attempt we fail, we must try and try again until we get it. For example from my lecturer is when he was student of university he ever tried to follow student exchange until three times but unfortunately he is failed. Then when he had graduated from university he tried again to apply scholarship studying...
