Music Genre Reflects to Our Personality


Music is an art form and cultural activity whose medium is sound organized in time. Music has some genres that have different style each other. However, music genre reflects listener’s personality in daily life.

First, pop music reflects to easy going type person. Pop music is a music that aimed to attract general audience. It has a simple melody and catchy lyrics. It also aims to encourage people dancing and singing along the music. It makes many person with easy going personality fall for it.

Second, jazz reflects to calm type person. Jazz uses a lot of guitars, trombones, pianos, trumpets and saxophones. The instrument is played well without haste and creates a soothing music. Jazz is known for its swing and improvisation, it requires high creativity because jazz has never been played with the exact same composition. It makes jazz fit in with people with calm and creative personality.

At last, rock music reflects to stubborn type person. Rock music is played with simple tunes and strong beat that is usually played loudly. It has not only romantic lyrics but also social and political themes lyric. It is also associated with protest song from youth to adults or people to society and government. It completely reflects to people with stubborn personality.
Music is universal language of mankind. However, just like mankind itself, music has different types that reflects to different kind of mankind. As human created differently, we must respect to all defferences that exist.

Drop D is one of the secret techniques in tuning guitars that are usually used by metal or rock guitarists, by loosening string 6 in standard E tuning so that it becomes D-tone or lowered by 2 columns or 1 tone.
