Supermarket VS Traditional Market

In the past, housewives bought the daily needs in traditional market. All the items we need were only available in traditional market so it became the center of economic activity. Recently, there have been many supermarkets that offer the same services. However, there some differences between them.

The first difference is the price. The price  in traditional market is negotiable. We can bargain the price of goods that are initially expensive to be cheaper. In contrast, the price of goods sold in supermarket is not negotiable. The prices in supermarket have been added with the tax so it is more expensive than it should be.

Another difference is the serve. In the supermarket, we serve ourselves. We choose and take the items ourselves. The staffs only help us to find the location of goods and make a payment. Whereas in traditional market, we are served by the traders. They help us to take, choose and total the price of goods we should pay. They also give us some advices about the better goods.

The last difference is the comfort. Supermarket has a comfortable place. The items in supermarket are well managed. The place is clean and cool. On the contrary, traditional market is not well organized. The place is hot and dirty because it is in the outdoor. Sometimes, we can smell the mixed aroma between the merchandises and the people’s sweat.

At the conclusion, supermarket and traditional market may have same function but they have their own characteristics. We can buy anywhere according to our needs and abilities.
