Everyone must have different tastes, for example music. The taste of people in music or enjoying music is of course different. Starting from the flow of music, color, to the style of play. I myself as a musician have my own favorite style of music. in playing guitar I have several favorite techniques.
The first technique is the Pentatonic scale Melody. Pentatonic scale is a technique that is very often used in various types of music. Pentatonic scale techniques are very much played by rock guitarists, blues and even jazz to improvise using certain progressions.
The Pentatonic Scale has the format 1-2-3-5-6. To more easily we use the example of C Major Scale: C-D-E-F-G-A-B-C or 1-2-3-4-5-6-7. So to get C Major pentatonic scale we take not 1 = C, 2 = D, 3 = E, 5 = G, and 6 = A.
In the 4th and 7th Pentatonic scale not used so that only 5 tones are used (C, D, E, G, A) called Pentatonic (Penta: five). I use this technique when I improvise or to fill a melody. Because it has a major tone, I use this pentatonic scale technique to fill melodies in songs that are cheerful.

The second is Whammy Bar. This technique can only be applied to certain guitars that have additional parts, the tremolo arm. in this case I prefer the two-way tremolo (Up-Down tremolo) because it is more flexible and can raise tones of up to 5 octaves. This technique is usually combined with harmonic techniques to produce another technique called pig squeal or dive bomb. I use this technique to close songs or start an interlude melody. Not only there, this technique is sometimes used to fill the sound of a film because it can mimic the sounds of animals, motors, explosions, and wind.
The third is the Harmonic technique. Harmonic technique is the technique of playing the guitar to produce a beautiful shrill sound. Harmonic itself is divided into two, namely Harmonic and Natural Harmonic Pinch. Harmonic Pinch Guitar Techniques are indeed many who think that the guitar technique like screaming people is very difficult to play because usually this technique is used by professional guitarists such as Joe Satriani, Herman li, Jhon Petrucci and other rock or metal guitarists. Usually this technique is combined with handles on the guitar to make it seem long. Pinch harmonics technique or also called Squealing basically only reduces the vibrations on the guitar strings suddenly so that the pick-up only captures the resonance sound. While Natural Harmonic only relies on the original shrill sound of the guitar and we just stop the vibration of the string suddenly. I usually enter these two techniques to add the feel to the melody.
The last one is Sweep Picking / Sweeping Arpeggio. This one technique is my mainstay technique in playing melodies because it is very beautiful. A sweeping technique is a technique of picking a guitar in a slightly different way, namely by sweeping the string in a number of arpeggio tones.
That's some of my favorite guitar techniques. in fact there are still many other techniques I like but the techniques above are the techniques I use most often in playing the guitar. Whether playing solo or in a band.
